Why is it called Malumpati? It comes from the phrase “Malumpat ang Ati.” Malumpat is a native term for “will jump” while Ati is an indigenous group primarily located in the island of Panay. Back then, the Ati people used to jump into the spring to take a bath in its clear blue waters.
